A full-bodied French Earl Grey with bright bergamot, soft florals and a clean citrus finish.
Belle Matinée means Beautiful Morning.
Organic black tea is blended with bergamot oil, rose petals, calendula and cornflowers to create a tea with depth, fragrance and gentle lift. Floral, but never perfumed. Refined, but still generous in the cup.
The 250 g tin is made for households where tea is shared freely, the pot is rarely made for one and another cup is usually welcomed. It also makes a particularly generous gift for the devoted tea drinker.
250 g tin | Approximately 70–125 cups
A Beautiful Morning, Carried Into the Afternoon
Belle Matinée begins with organic black tea and bright bergamot, then softens into rose, calendula and cornflower.
The black tea gives the blend enough body to feel satisfying. Bergamot brings a clean citrus lift, while the botanicals add fragrance, colour and a gentle floral finish.
The result is composed rather than delicate. A French Earl Grey with presence, balance and just enough romance.
In the larger 250 g tin, there is plenty for slow mornings, afternoon visitors and the second pot that follows when no one is quite ready to leave.
Serve it when a plain cup will not quite do.

Belle Matinée is full-bodied and gently floral, with bright bergamot and a clean citrus finish.
The black tea gives the blend structure. Rose brings softness, while calendula and cornflowers add subtle botanical character without overwhelming the cup.
Flavour notes: Bergamot, soft florals and citrus.
How to Brew
Use 1–2 level teaspoons per 250 ml cup.
Add water heated to 90–95°C and steep for 2–3 minutes.
Use one teaspoon for a lighter, more fragrant cup or two for greater depth.
For a 500 ml pot, use 2–4 level teaspoons. Remove the leaves once brewed to keep the finish clean.
Enjoy it black, with a small amount of milk or with a slice of lemon.
When to Drink It
Belle Matinée is made for the more considered parts of the day.
It suits a slow morning, a quiet pause at eleven or the pot brought out when friends arrive in the afternoon.
The 250 g tin belongs in a household that drinks tea often and shares it generously. It is equally suited to the host who likes to keep plenty in the cupboard and the fine tea drinker who would consider a full tin a very good gift indeed.
Especially good with madeleines, almond cake, shortbread, fresh fruit or something with a little citrus.
The Botanicals
Bergamot oil gives the tea its bright, familiar Earl Grey character.

Servings
A 250 g tin makes approximately 70–125 cups.
The final yield depends on whether you use one or two teaspoons per cup and how strongly you prefer your tea.
For homes where the teapot is used often, this is the size that keeps everyone properly supplied.
Tin and Storage
Packed in a reusable Merry Wolf tea tin designed to help protect the leaves from light and moisture.
Keep the lid firmly closed between uses and store in a cool, dry cupboard away from direct sunlight and strong aromas.
Once the tea is finished, the tin is made to be kept, refilled or passed on to someone who will put it to good use.
Blended in the Barossa
The tea and botanicals are sourced from multiple origins, then blended and packed in the Barossa by Tea Master Jacinta Gibson.
The Merry Wolf was created around a simple belief: everyday things should be made well enough to earn their place in the home.
