A smooth, full-bodied breakfast tea with malt, gentle sweetness and a clean finish.
Barossa Breakfast takes the familiar English Breakfast tradition and gives it a distinctly Barossa sense of place. Made from certified organic black tea, it is rich enough for the first cup of the day and balanced enough to stay for another.
Made for the pause at eleven, the pot at three and homes where visitors are always offered something proper.
70 g pouch | Approximately 20–35 cups
A Familiar Tea, Beautifully Considered
Barossa Breakfast is made from a blend of certified organic OP1 and FBOP black tea from India.
The longer leaves bring balance, smoothness and gentle sweetness. The finer broken leaf adds body, colour and the malty strength expected from a proper breakfast tea.
The result is confident without being sharp. Full-bodied, clean and easy to return to.
It takes milk well, holds its own when served black and belongs just as naturally beside marmalade toast as it does with an afternoon slice of cake.

What It Tastes Like

The OP1 long leaf brings balance and clarity. The FBOP adds colour, depth and familiar breakfast-tea strength.
Flavour notes: Malt, gentle sweetness and a clean finish.
How to Brew
Use 1–2 level teaspoons per 250 ml cup.
Add water heated to 90–95°C and steep for 2–3 minutes.
Use one teaspoon for a smoother cup or two for greater strength.
For a 500 ml pot, use 2–4 level teaspoons. Remove the leaves once brewed to keep the finish clean.
Add milk after brewing, or enjoy it black.
When to Drink It
Barossa Breakfast is made for early risers, slow starts and a full table.
It is the tea to bring out when friends arrive, when breakfast stretches into late morning or when one pot needs to please everyone.
Especially good with buttered toast, marmalade, warm pastries, fruit cake or anything passed around the table.
Why Two Leaf Grades?
Barossa Breakfast combines two grades of certified organic black tea.
OP1 long leaf brings smoothness, balance and gentle sweetness.
FBOP broken leaf infuses more quickly, adding colour, malt and body.
Together, they create a traditional breakfast tea with strength, clarity and a softer finish.
Ingredients
Certified Organic Black Tea, OP1 and FBOP.
Contains no added flavouring.
Servings
A 70 g tin makes approximately 20–35 cups.
The final yield depends on whether you use one or two teaspoons per cup and how strongly you prefer your tea.
Storage
Keep the bag firmly closed between uses and store in a cool, dry cupboard away from direct sunlight and strong aromas.
Blended in the Barossa
The tea is sourced from India, then blended and packed in the Barossa by Tea Master Jacinta Gibson.
The Merry Wolf was created around a simple belief: everyday things should be made well enough to earn their place in the home.
